City of Mount Holly, NC Administration Building Rehabilitation, Mount Holly, NC
Consulted with City of Mount Holly Manager’s office on financial and development structure for historic A&E Industries Building acquisition and rehabilitation in 2008.

Springhaven Master Planned Development, Gastonia, NC
Partnered with Development Team to develop a 891 unit master-planned residential subdivision in Southeast Gastonia, NC.  LEDAHF successful in securing development rights for the full master-planned community in 2008.

Shandon at Mount Pleasant Master Planned Development, Mount Pleasant, NC
Partnered with Development Team to entitle a 392 acre master-planned residential village in Mount Pleasant, NC in 2009.

Lake Wheeler Farm Alternative Energy Park, Raleigh, NC
Partnered with City Energy Inc., Energy Development Partners, Inc. and NC State University to develop an Alternative Energy and Waste Processing Park on the site of NC State’s Lake Wheeler Farm Laboratory.  Investigating sites for other waste to energy parks in North and South Carolina from 2006 to the present.

Armstrong Apartments Rehabilitation, Gastonia, NC
Established public-private partnership to rehabilitate historic structure integral to the downtown renovations in 2004.

Top Properties Development Management, Gastonia, NC
Worked in partnership with the Owner-Developer of several key historic Gastonia properties (to include the Lawyers, Hassani, and Commercial buildings in downtown Gastonia) to preserve, protect and rehabilitate their future commercial use from 2004 through 2009.

Colquitt, Georgia Economic Development and Comprehensive Planning Initiative, Colquitt, GA
Consulted with Colquitt Development Corporation and Miller/Colquitt Arts Council in master planning, infrastructure and zoning process for 16,000 person rural community from 2004-05.

Hillsborough, NC Sportsplex Rehabilitation
Acted as acquisition advisor, developer and construction manager for Orange County, NC for 100,000 square foot public recreation structure  renovation and new construction (ice rink, aquatics center, fitness facilities) in conjunction with senior center & senior housing. Acquisition and development costs exceeded $6M; project initiated in 2005 and completed in 2009.

Seymour Senior Center Development, Chapel Hill, NC
Performed role as Orange County, NC’s developer and Owner’s Representative for a for the $6MM, 25,000 square foot state-of-the-art Senior Center completed in 2006.

Orange County Justice Facility Expansion, Hillsborough, NC
Performed role as Orange County NC Owner’s Representative and Development Consultant for the $11MM, 68,000 square foot County Justice Facility Expansion completed in 2009.  The expansion consisted of 40,000 square feet; the renovation of the existing courtroom facility consisted of 28,000 square feet.  The project also featured a 68 well ground source heat pump geothermal HVAC system, a public market house, and a section of the Eno River walk that is to be part of the Mountains-to-Sea trail.

Orange County Department of Social Services Adaptive Re-use, Hillsborough, NC
Performed role as Orange County NC Owner’s Representative and Development Consultant for the $3.79MM, 56,000 square foot County Justice Facility Expansion completed in 2010.

Orange County Emergency Management Services Facility, Hillsborough, NC
Performed role as Orange County NC Owner’s Representative and Development Consultant for the $3.7MM, 40,000 square foot adaptive re-use opened in 2008.

Orange County Animal Services Facility, Chapel Hill, NC
Performed role as Orange County, NC Owner’s Representative and Development Consultant for the $9.2MM, 24,000 square foot facility opened in 2009.

Orange County Solid Waste Management Administrative Building, Chapel Hill, NC
Performed role as Orange County NC Owner’s Representative and Development Consultant for the $2.2MM, 9,700 square foot facility opened in 2008.

Morris Grove Elementary School, Carrboro, NC
Consulted with Chapel Hill/Carrboro School Administrators in land use entitlement procurement, development cost analysis, value engineering, and construction administration toward the successful opening of a $22MM, 90,000 square foot project completed in 2008. Performed role as Orange County NC Owner’s Representative and Development Consultant for the $3MM, 34 acre regional soccer facility opened in 2009.

Cedar Grove Park, Cedar Grove, NC
Performed role as Orange County NC Owner’s Representative and Development Consultant for the $1.8MM, 40 acre rural park, baseball/softball and basketball complex opened in 2007.

Fairview Park, Hillsborough NC
Performed role as Orange County Development Consultant for the $1.6MM, 67 acre urban park, tennis and baseball/softball complex opened in 2011.

Twin Creeks Greenway, Carrboro NC
Performed role as Orange County NC Owner’s Representative and Development Consultant for the $1MM, 2 mile, ARRA stimulus funded greenway trail connecting an elementary school/park master planned site to a production home community (M/I Homes) opened in 2011.

Orange County West Campus Office Building, Gateway and Library Campus, Hillsborough, NC
Performed role as Orange County NC Owner’s Representative and Development Consultant for the $26MM, 100,000 square foot  County campus project completed in 2009. The campus also includes a 120,000 square foot, 410 space parking deck facility.

Piedmont Food and Agricultural Processing Center, Hillsborough, NC
Performed role as Development Consultant for the fully grant funded $1.6MM agricultural business incubator that opened for business in 2011.

Orange County Buckhorn-Efland Phase 2 Sanitary Sewer Installation, Efland, NC
Performed role as Orange County Development Consultant for the $3MM, 26,000 linear foot sanitary sewer system that will serve a large section of the western part of Orange County as well as key economic development areas surrounding Interstate I-85. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2013.

Orange County Buckhorn-Mebane EDD Water and Sanitary Sewer System, Mebane, NC
Currently Performing role as Development Consultant for the $4.3MM, 30,000 linear foot water and sanitary sewer system in the Mebane economic development district. The project is currently out to bid and is scheduled to be completed in early 2014.  

Principal, Piedmont Charter School Initiative, Gastonia, NC
Effective in establishing successful charter school within the National Trust District Organization.

Care Connection Transitional and Supportive Housing Partnership, Gastonia, NC
Established city and county supported, public-private partnership to foster planned and sustainable development of transitional, supportive, and standalone workforce housing in Gastonia and greater Gaston County from 2003 to present.

Gastonia Habitat for Humanity Greenfield Development Partnerships, Gastonia, NC
Partnered with HFHGC for the greenfield and moderate sized infill acquisition and development for workforce housing in 2004-05.
